As a historical gem in Central Carinthia, Taggenbrunn Castle & Winery is renowned beyond the region’s borders not only for its high-caliber cultural events but also as a winery. The estate, which spans an area of approximately 40 hectares, was acquired in 2011—along with the castle—by the Riedl family, founders of the internationally successful watch and jewelry brand Jacques Lemans. After years of extensive renovation work, it reopened in 2019 with the first events of the Taggenbrunn Festival. At the same time as the acquisition, the foundation was laid for the Taggenbrunn Winery with its award-winning wines. Set in the stunning Alpe-Adria landscape, the historic castle offers not only the newly designed castle restaurant and the cozy wine bar & castle café but also a museum featuring a historical exhibition as well as the modern exhibition “Zeiträume” (Time Periods), curated by André Heller.
