A key chapter in the Taggenbrunn story was written by the Riedl family in 2011. They had the vision to give a historic location a chance and restore it. They began to write a new chapter based on the extraordinary history, the needs of the local community, modern winemaking and sustainable tourism. The main theme was centered on especting the past and embracing the future.
The Riedl family has transformed Taggenbrunn into a vibrant destination. Today, the estate features a winery, boutique hotel, contemporary museum, Alpe-Adria-inspired restaurant, castle bar, and various event venues, blending timeless heritage with modern elegance in an enchanting setting.
In 2024, the Jezeršek family joined the Taggenbrunn story as a new partner. Thanks to shared values, including authenticity, respect for heritage, excellence, sustainability, innovation and family values, the intertwining of the two families offered new potential to the Taggenbrunn estate.
Their shared vision came to life through crafting exceptional experiences that seamlessly unite gastronomy, culture, and history. And here, the Jezeršek family – with its long-standing tradition, knowledge, and experience in creating exceptional culinary experiences, organising major events, ensuring sustainable offerings and focusing on innovation – added an important ingredient to the recipe for the success of our Taggenbrunn fairytale story.
